About Nina Diaz
Nina Diaz is an indie rock singer and guitarist, best known for her time with the band Girl in a Coma. She was born on March 14, 1988, in San Antonio, Texas.
At age 13, she began singing, writing, and playing guitar for Girl in a Coma. By age 17, after a performance at the Knitting Factory in New York City, the band was signed to Joan Jett‘s GIAC label.
In 2007, the band released their debut album “Both Before I’m Gone.” In 2011, their album “Exits & All the Rest” was featured as one of National Public Radio’s 50 Favorite Albums of the Year.
In 2014, Nina Diaz left Girl in a Coma to work on her own solo material. She continues to pursue her career as a rock singer and musician.
Diaz was born and raised in San Antonio,Texas.
