About Negra Li
Negra Li, born on September 17, 1979 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, is a highly acclaimed World Music Singer. She rose to fame as a prominent hip hop and soul artist with the release of several successful albums. Notably, her album “Negra Livre” topped the charts in 2006 under Sony Music. Her chart-topping singles such as “Nao e Serio” and “Voce Vai Estar na Minha” have further solidified her status as an influential figure in Brazilian music.
Before gaining recognition in the music industry, Negra Li cultivated her passion for singing by participating in her church choir during childhood and idolizing Whitney Houston through her teens. By age sixteen, she developed an interest in rap music which inspired her journey into professional music as part of the group RZO.
Aside from her successful music career, Negra Li also ventured into acting with her debut role as Preta in the film Antonia (2006). This marked the beginning of a prosperous acting career that led to appearing in the television series adaptation of Antonia.
