About Meghan Tonjes
Meghan Tonjes (born November 19, 1985) is an American folk singer known for her acoustic folk-pop sound and her popular YouTube channel. Born in Michigan, Tonjes has released albums such as This Year, Be Mine, and Be in Want. Her career was catapulted into the spotlight after she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2011, where she shared her music and spoke out against bullying before gaining attention for her “I Am Fat” video.
In addition to her music career, Tonjes founded Project Lifesize, a collaboration channel focusing on plus-sized individuals and also started a weekly cover series called Request Tuesday. Originally from a small town in Michigan, she later relocated to Los Angeles to pursue her music career.
