Maharasyi Hansa, born on February 24, 1990 in Jakarta, Indonesia, is a pop singer who rose to prominence after joining Jennifer Hudson‘s team on The Voice during its 13th season in 2017.
Her passion for music began at a young age and led her to pursue a career as a singer. In 2011, she signed with an Indonesian record label before ultimately relocating back to Los Angeles to be with her family. It was there that she rediscovered her musical aspirations and started performing as a wedding singer while also sharing covers of popular songs on YouTube starting in 2014.
Hansa comes from a musical family; her aunt is Emilia Contessa, an iconic Indonesian singer often referred to as “the Whitney Houston of Indonesia.” She spent much of her life in Jakarta before moving back to Los Angeles with her family.
