About Victory Tischler-Blue
Victory Tischler-Blue, born on September 16, 1959 in California, is a director known for her work as the bassist in the 1970s teen band The Runaways. Decades after her time with the group, she directed and produced the documentary film Edgeplay in 2004 which chronicled her experiences with the all-female music group. Performing under the stage name Vicki Blue, she joined The Runaways in 1977 and contributed to their album Waitin’ for the Night. Additionally, Tischler-Blue served as a backing vocalist on Girlschool’s 1983 album Play Dirty. She spent her early years in Newport Beach, California and was part of The Runaways “family” which included Cherrie Currie, Joan Jett, and Lita Ford.
