About Zz Ward
Zz Ward, born on June 2, 1986 in Abington, Pennsylvania, is a blues singer and songwriter. She gained recognition with her debut album, “Til the Casket Drops,” which was released in 2012. The success of her hit song “Put The Gun Down” led to its inclusion on Billboard’s Alternative Top 40 chart.
Prior to her music career taking off, Ward signed with Boardwalk Entertainment Group in 2009 and subsequently released an EP called “Criminal” in 2012 before signing with Hollywood Records. Notably, she also launched the “365 Days of ZZ Ward” app alongside her second hit single titled “365 Days.”
Ward grew up with an older brother named Adam and later married songwriter Evan Bogart in May of 2017. In February 2021, the couple welcomed their son Ezra Jack Bogart into the world.
