Zarifa Mgoyan, also known as Zara, was born on July 26, 1983 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. She is a prominent pop singer who rose to fame as a teen star with popular Russian hits such as “Right Now,” “Just Today” and “The Heart of Juliette.”
Throughout her career, Mgoyan has achieved success by winning several major music competitions, including the Let the Children Laugh International Festival and the Hopes of Serbia contest.
Prior to her music career taking off, she attended secondary school at Otradnoye of Leningrad Oblast and later graduated from the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts. In 2015, she took on a new role appearing as a judge on the Russian singing contest New Star.
