Yuri, born on January 6, 1964 in Mexico, is a well-known World Music Singer. She gained fame as a Latin pop superstar with hit singles like “Que Te Pasta” (1988) and “Detras de Mi Ventana” (1994). In addition to her singing career, she has also appeared in telenovelas such as Colorina and Vivan Los Ninos.
Prior to her musical success, Yuri studied ballet at the Bolshoi Theatre before relocating to Mexico City to pursue singing. She has been open about her struggles with addiction and is a born-again Christian who has delivered talks at Christian congregations worldwide.
Her full name is Yuridia Valenzuela Canseco, and she was married to Chilean musician Rodrigo Espinoza before marrying Christian singer Rodrigo Espinoza.
