About Yasmin Benoit
Yasmin Benoit, born on June 10, 1996 in Reading, England, is a model, activist and writer known for her advocacy of asexuality and alternative fashion. She gained recognition as “the unlikely face of asexuality” from Cosmopolitan Magazine and has been featured in documentaries on BBC Three and Sky News.
Before entering the spotlight, Benoit earned degrees including a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from St Mary’s University, Twickenham and a Master of Science in Crime Science from University College London. Her modeling career began at the age of 16.
In addition to her work promoting asexuality awareness, she has collaborated with fashion brand Gothic Lamb and made history as the first asexual activist to win an Attitude Pride Award from Attitude Magazine in June 2021. Benoit also hosts events such as the first asexual-themed bar at Pride in London (2019) and participated in the London Queer Fashion Show.
