About Yasmin Aga Khan
Yasmin Aga Khan (born December 28, 1949) is an American woman best known as the daughter of actress Rita Hayworth and Prince Aly Khan. Born in Switzerland, she graduated from Bennington College in 1973 and considered pursuing a career as an opera singer.
After her mother’s death from Alzheimer’s disease, Khan became an advocate for raising awareness about the disease. She served as Vice Chairman of the Alzheimer’s Association and Related Disorders Association.
In addition to her advocacy work, Yasmin has also discussed her mother’s painting hobby during her struggle with Alzheimer’s in the 2009 documentary “I Remember Better When I Paint.”
Khan has been married twice, first to Basil Embiricos from 1985 to 1987 and later to Christopher Michael Jeffrie from 1989 to 1993.
