Whitney Cummings is an American comedian and actress, best known for her work as a cast member on the television show Punk’d. She gained further recognition as the creator and star of the NBC sitcom Whitney, which premiered in 2012, and as a co-creator of the CBS sitcom 2 Broke Girls.
Born on September 4, 1982, in Washington, DC, United States, Cummings attended the University of North Carolina before transferring to the University of Pennsylvania. In 2004, she graduated magna cum laude with degrees in communications and film.
In addition to her television work, Cummings has appeared in films such as Made of Honor (2008) and released a stand-up special titled Whitney Cummings: Money Shot on Comedy Central in 2010.
