About Vidya Balan
Vidya Balan is an acclaimed Indian actress who won the International Indian Film Academy Best Actress Award in 2012 for her role in The Dirty Picture. She was also awarded the Padma Shri by the government of India in 2014. Before becoming a movie star, she studied at St. Xaviers College and University of Mumbai, and even turned down a television role to pursue her studies. Vidya was known for her roles in Kahaani (2012) and Parineeta (2005). Her older sister is Priya Balan. In 2012, she married Siddharth Roy Kapur. She also had a supporting role in Guru (2007), alongside Aishwarya Bachchan.
