About Victoria Hochberg
Victoria Hochberg (born December 24, 1952) is an American director and writer. She is best known for being one of the “Original Six,” a group of female directors who established the Women’s Steering Committee to combat gender discrimination in the film industry.
Hochberg has directed episodes of several television series including Melrose Place and Ally McBeal, as well as the short documentary Metroliner and the 2002 film Dawg.
Before her career in directing, she earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Antioch College in 1974. Hochberg has received two Daytime Emmy Awards for directing Just a Regular Kid: An AIDS Story in 1988 and Sweet 15 in 1990.
She is the daughter of Lillian Greene and Jacob Hochberg.
