Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden was born on July 14th, 1977 in Stockholm, Sweden. She is the heir to the Swedish throne and holds the title of Duchess of Vastergotland. Princess Victoria has been actively involved in foreign affairs and sustainable development initiatives. In 2016, she was appointed as a member of Sustainable Development Goals Advocates for Agenda 2030.
Princess Victoria’s education includes studying at Yale University from 1998-2000 and receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from Uppsala University in 2009. During her time in America, she interned at the Swedish embassy in Washington D.C., showcasing her multilingual abilities by speaking English, Swedish, French and German.
Born as Victoria Ingrid Alice Desiree in Solna, Stockholm County, Sweden, she became designated crown princess in 1979 and was officially made Crown Princess with an amendment to the Act of Succession of 1810 ensuring gender equality for succession to the throne. She faced personal challenges such as dyslexia and eating disorders alongside her father and brother.
Princess Victoria is part of the royal family which includes King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia as parents along with a younger brother named Carl Philip. In 2010, she married Daniel Westling who had been her personal trainer; together they have two children – Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar.
