Veronica Castro (born October 19, 1952) is a Mexican actress and musician best known for her work in the soap opera genre. Born in Mexico City, Mexico, she gained prominence for her role in the telenovela Rosa Salvaje and also performed the popular theme song of the same name. Throughout her career, she has appeared in over 1,000 episodes of television.
In addition to her television work, Castro starred as Malena in the 2021 film When We’re Young. Before finding fame on screen, she showcased her talent on stage by performing in a 1970 production of Romeo and Juliette and releasing her first musical album four years later.
