About Urska Zigart
Urska Zigart, born on November 11, 1991 in Slovenska Bistrica, Slovenia, is a professional racing cyclist. She is renowned for her consecutive victories in the Slovenian National Time Trial Championships from 2020 to 2023 and has been part of the UCI Women’s WorldTeam (Team Jayco-AlUla) since joining in 2020 when it was formerly known as Mitchelton-Scott Team. Zigart has also showcased her skills in prestigious cycling events such as the Tour de l’Ardeche and the Giro Rosa.
Zigart began her professional cycling career with BTC City Ljubljana team in 2015. Following a merge between BTC City Ljubljana and Ale-Cipollini teams in 2019, creating Ale BTC Ljubljana, she continued to compete under their banner for another year before moving to Team Jayco-AluLa
.
Notably, she achieved first place in stage four of Setmana Ciclista Valenciana women’s road cycling race during the year of 2021. In addition to her racing success, Zigart became engaged to Tadej Pogacar—a fellow Slovenian cyclist who won the Tour de France twice—in 2021.
