About Umji
Umji, born on August 19, 1998 in South Korea, is a pop singer known for being part of the six-piece K-pop girl group GFriend. The group has gained attention for their top EPs and debut album L.O.L. released in 2016, as well as appearances on multiple film soundtracks.
Prior to her fame with GFriend, Umji attended the Seoul School of Performing Arts alongside bandmates SinB, Yuju, Eunha, and Yerin. The group has appeared on various variety shows and has released four full-length albums over the course of their career.
In 2016, Umji and her older brother Kim Bo-geun competed on the National Idol Singing Contest. She also has one sister.
