Prior to her acting career, Joelson was crowned Miss Coos County, Oregon in 1993 and later won the title of Miss Fitness USA in 1997. Her acting debut came with an appearance in a 1998 episode of Malibu, CA.
She has been married to NFL player Greg Joelson and Michael Lohmann after growing up with her parents Betty and Ken Means in Coquille, Oregon. In 2005 she appeared alongside Jake Busey in The Rain Makers.
