About Trixie Whitley
Trixie Whitley, born on June 24, 1987 in Belgium, is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She is best known for her work as a member of the collaborative group Black Dub. Trixie is the daughter of musician Chris Whitley, with whom she has also performed.
Before gaining recognition as a musician, Trixie Whitley grew up performing in theater and dance companies and later became a DJ in Belgium during her teenage years. She first collaborated with her father on his 1997 album “Terra Icognita” and continued to work with him until his passing in 2005. In 2008, she recorded her first solo EP.
Her mother’s name is Helene Gevaert and she spent her childhood both in Belgium and New York City.
