About Trixie Mattel
Trixie Mattel, born on August 23, 1989 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is a reality star known for her appearances on RuPaul’s Drag Race. She gained attention during the show’s seventh season where she was eliminated twice – first in episode four and then returning in episode eight.
In 2018, Trixie competed on the third season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars and emerged as the winner. In addition to her television career, she is also a talented singer who released the country album Two Birds in 2017.
Prior to her fame, Trixie graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theatre. Her drag name has an origin story tied to her personal experiences with an abusive stepfather who would call her “Trixie” whenever she expressed femininity; meanwhile “Mattel” is derived from the company that created Barbie dolls.
She co-owns a motel alongside her partner David Silver. Born Brian Michael Firkus into a Native American family with Ojibwe heritage.
