Trace Lysette (born October 2, 1987) is an American TV actress known for her breakthrough role in Amazon’s Transparent. She is a transgender woman and notable as one of the first trans people to appear as a non-trans person on a major TV show with a speaking role. Prior to her acting career, she was a track star and performed as a drag queen at bars while also working as both a hairstylist and makeup artist. Her television debut was in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and she has also appeared on Comedy Central’s Drunk History and had recurring guest appearances on Blunt Talk.
Lysette hails from Dayton and Columbus, Ohio.
