Two years later, she auditioned for American Idol but didn’t make it to the top 24. In 2016, Tori earned a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. She’s of Irish German Puerto Rican and Jamaican descent; born to Laura and Allwyn Kelly with a younger brother named Noah by their side. In 2017 Tori got engaged to basketball player Andre Murillo and the couple married in May 2018
