About Toni Basil
Toni Basil was a high school cheerleader who graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1961. She became an international sensation with her No. 1 hit “Mickey” in 1981, and went on to choreograph for films like American Graffiti (1973), Peggy Sue Got Married (1986) and Legally Blonde (2001). She also had a relationship with actor Dean Stockwell from 1965 to 1967, and served as a choreographer for the TV series Pearl which starred Rhea Perlman.
