About Titiek Puspa
Titiek Puspa, born on November 1, 1937 in Tanjung, Indonesia, is a legendary Indonesian pop singer and songwriter. Her contributions to the music industry led to two of her songs being listed on Rolling Stone Indonesia’s compilation of best songs of all time.
Prior to her success as an entertainer, Titiek had to overcome opposition from her parents who initially did not support her career aspirations. However, after winning the Radio Republik Indonesia singing competition, she pursued her passion against their wishes.
In 2009, while undergoing treatment for cervical cancer, Titiek remarkably managed to write sixty-one songs. She has two children with her second husband Mus Mualim.
