Tia Carrere is a movie actress who gained fame for her role in Wayne’s World. She was born on January 2, 1967, in Honolulu, Hawaii. In addition to her work in Wayne’s World and the 2012 film Collision Course where she played Kate Parks, Carrere provided her voice as Nani for the Disney film Lilo & Stitch.
Before rising to fame, Carrere participated in the first round of 1985’s Star Search at age seventeen but was eliminated. She also portrayed Sydney Fox on Relic Hunter.
She married Simon Wakelin in 2002 and had a daughter with him before divorcing in 2010. Prior to this marriage, she was married to Elie Samaha from 1992 to 2000.
