About Terri Gibbs
Terri Gibbs, born on June 15, 1954 in Miami, Florida, is a blind American country singer and pianist. One of her most notable achievements was her hit single “Somebody’s Knockin” which reached #8 on the charts in 1980.
Gibbs began taking piano lessons at the age of three and was encouraged by Chet Atkins to move to Nashville to pursue a music career as a young woman. Her final studio album, What a Great Day, was released in 1990.
In 1988, she married city councilman David Daughtrey with whom she had a son named David II.
