Tecia Torres is a renowned MMA fighter known for her career in both Invicta and the UFC as a strawweight. Born on August 16, 1989, in Fall River, Massachusetts, she began her martial arts journey by training in taekwondo at the age of 3 and went on to achieve a black belt at just 15 years old.
In 2012, Torres made her professional MMA debut and quickly rose through the ranks with impressive victories. Her bout against Rose Namajunas at Invicta in 2013 earned her widespread acclaim and was named as the women’s MMA fight of the year by Bleacher Report.
Throughout her career, she has achieved numerous accolades including winning the UFC’s Fight of the Night honor after defeating Juliana Lima at The Ultimate Fighter: Redemption Finale and being named the 2013 strawweight of the year at the Women’s MMA Awards.
