About Tatiana Totmianina
Tatiana Totmianina was born on November 2, 1981, in Russia. She is a former Olympic pair skater who achieved great success with her partner Maxim Marinin. Together, they won Olympic gold at the 2006 Games and also secured multiple gold medals at both the World and European championships.
Prior to her fame as an Olympic champion, Totmianina began skating with Marinin in 1996 after meeting him at the Russian Nationals in 1995.
Notably, she suffered a serious injury during the 2004 Skate America free skate when she fell headfirst and sustained a concussion
Outside of her athletic achievements, Totmianina married fellow figure skater Alexei Yagudin. They welcomed their first child in 2009.
