Taeko Onuki, born on November 28, 1953 in Tokyo, Japan, is a prominent figure in the city pop genre. As a pop singer and songwriter, she gained acclaim for her influential work in Japanese pop music. In 1977, her album Sunshower made a significant impact on the music scene. Prior to this milestone release, she co-founded the band Sugar Babe in 1973.
