About Sylvie Meis
Sylvie Meis is a Dutch model and TV personality who rose to fame hosting events for music station TMF and judging Germany’s Das Supertalent. She started modelling at 18 but soon realised she preferred being on the other side of the camera, so pursued hosting and presenting instead. She tried her hand at dancing too when she competed in Lets Dance (Strictly Come Dancing’s German counterpart). In 2005 she tied the knot with Rafael van der Vaart, which ended eight years later. Sadly, in 2009 Sylvie was diagnosed with breast cancer yet still managed to interview stars such as Britney Spears during her recovery period.
