About Suzana Pires
Suzana Pires, born on June 13, 1976, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is a Brazilian actress and writer. She has gained recognition for her roles in feature films and television programs, particularly for her portrayal of Sonia Cavalcanti in the film Casa Grande and her award-winning performance as Best Actress at the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival in 2014 for her role in A Grande Vitoria.
Prior to her acting career, Pires earned a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from PUC in Rio de Janeiro. She made her acting debut in 1994 with the television series Teen Confessions and later starred in Women From Brazil (2006) marking her feature film debut.
Aside from acting, she is also known for writing the telenovela Sun Rising in 2016. Suzana Pires was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
