About Susana Vieira
Susana Vieira, born on August 23, 1942 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, is an award-winning Brazilian film and television actress.
She is best known for her role as Maria do Carmo in Her Own Destiny and has also had leading roles in Two Faces, Women in Love, and Chiquinha Gonzaga.
Prior to her acting career, Vieira was a classical ballerina and became a member of the Grande Teatro Tupi ballet in 1961. She made her acting debut the following year in the telenovela A Noite Eterna.
Aside from her acting career, Vieira released her debut album Brasil Encena as a singer in 2010.
Vieira was married to Regis Cardoso from 1961 to 1972 and they had a son named Rodrigo. She later married Carson Gardeazabal before divorcing him in 2003. Her brief marriage to Marcelo Silva ended in divorce in 2008.
