About Susan Sarandon
Susan Sarandon was born on October 4, 1946 in New York City, New York. She is a renowned movie actress who won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Dead Man Walking in 1996. Her notable films include Thelma & Louise, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Anywhere but Here, Elizabethtown, and Enchanted. Sarandon portrayed actress Bette Davis in the FX series Feud: Bette and Joan.
Before rising to fame, she attended the Catholic University of America and made her film debut in the drama Joe in 1970.
In addition to her successful acting career, Sarandon is extensively involved in liberal activism and has worked with UNICEF, EMILY’s List, and the Occupy Wall Street movement.
She married Chris Sarandon in 1967; they divorced in 1979. She later had a long-term relationship with Tim Robbins from 1988 to 2009.
