Susan Crow Benedetto, born on September 9, 1966 in the United States, is well-known as the wife of acclaimed big band crooner Tony Bennett. The couple began dating in the late 1980s and eventually tied the knot in 2007, with Mario Cuomo and his wife serving as witnesses.
Prior to gaining fame through her marriage to Bennett, Susan earned a bachelor’s degree from Fordham University and later pursued her master’s at Columbia University’s Teacher’s College. She also worked as a social studies teacher in the New York public school system before co-founding the non-profit organization Exploring The Arts in 1999.
Notably, following her marriage, she chose to use her husband’s birth surname rather than his professional name.
