Susan B. Anthony, born on February 15, 1820 in Adams, Massachusetts, was an American activist known for her leadership in the suffragette movement advocating for women’s equality. Alongside her notable work as a reformer, she co-founded both the Women’s Temperance Movement and the feminist publication The Revolution.

Prior to gaining prominence as an activist, Anthony worked as a teacher to help support her family financially. Notably, she began collecting petitions to ban slavery at the age of 17 and later dedicated herself to championing women’s rights.

Born to Lucy Read and Daniel Anthony with six siblings, Susan B. Anthony left behind a legacy of unwavering dedication to social justice that continues to inspire generations.
