Stiven Mendoza, born on June 27, 1992 in Palmira, Colombia, is a professional soccer player known for his career with New York City FC, where he played on loan from Corinthians. He achieved the Golden Boot after contributing to Chennaiyin’s victory in the 2015 Indian Super League Final. Mendoza began his soccer journey with Envigado before making his debut in August 2010.
Notably, he represented Colombia at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2009 and the 2011 South American U-20 Championship. Originally named John Stiven Mendoza Valencia, he adopted “Stiven” as his preferred name and has resided in both Brazil and the United States.
