About Stephanie Nogueras
Stephanie Nogueras, born on November 18, 1989 in Camden, New Jersey, is a TV actress known for her role as Natalie Pierce on Switched at Birth. She also appeared in a well-received episode of Grimm in 2013. Nogueras is profoundly deaf and fluent in American Sign Language.
Prior to her acting career, she earned a degree in liberal arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology/National Technical Institute for the Deaf in 2011. Shortly after graduating, she moved to Los Angeles and secured her role on Switched at Birth within six months.
In addition to her acting work, Nogueras co-hosted The Toronto International Deaf Arts & Film Festival in 2015 and has been involved in various philanthropic activities including fundraising for a deaf school in Puerto Rico and volunteering with organizations such as The Union Rescue Mission and Best Friends Animal Society. She also serves as an annual #Spirit Day Celebrity Ambassador for GLAAD.
Nogueras was raised in Frederick, Maryland and is of Puerto Rican descent.
