About Stela Popescu
Stela Popescu, born on December 21, 1935 in Romania, was a renowned actress, writer and television host. She gained recognition for her roles in films such as Nea Marin Billionaire, On the Left Bank of the Blue Danube and Everyday I Miss You. Her talent also extended to voice acting, where she lent her voice to Flo in the Disney Pixar trilogy Cars. Popescu made appearances on various women’s television programs aired by TVR, Realitatea and National TV.
Prior to her stardom, she completed her education at the Theater and Cinematografic Art Institute of Bucharest in 1959. As she flourished in her career, she took part in notable television series like Cuscrele, The War of the Sexes, Queen and Aniela. In addition to acting work,
Popescu displayed versatility by writing the television movie Dupleks TV varijete Beograd – Bukurest in 1975.
Her personal life encompassed early hardship when her father was deported to Siberia during childhood. In 1969,she wed Mihai Maximilian after a previous marriage with Dan Puican.
