Stacey Fluhler (born November 3, 1995) is a New Zealand rugby union player hailing from Auckland. She has made a significant mark in both the fifteen-a-side and seven-a-side formats of the game. Fluhler has represented the New Zealand Women’s Sevens team as well as the national Women’s Rugby Union team.Before gaining recognition in rugby, Fluhler showcased her athletic talent by representing New Zealand as touch youth international at just 15 years old and also excelling as a promising netball player.Fluhler’s remarkable achievements include being part of the gold medal-winning New Zealand Women’s Sevens team at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Additionally, she was an integral member of the New Zealand fifteen-a-side team that triumphed in both the 2017 Women’s Rugby World Cup and the 2021 Women’s Rugby World Cup. In further acknowledgment of her outstanding contributions to rugby, she received the impact player award at the 2020 World Rugby Sevens Series Awards.Beyond her successful sporting career, Stacey Fluhler comes from a large family with three older siblings—Shannon, Bronson, and Beaudein. Her father is among 17 siblings which means that she has more than 70 first cousins.
