About Sonia O’Sullivan
Sonia O’Sullivan, born on November 28, 1969 in Ireland, is a runner and a 4-time Irish Olympian. She achieved silver at the 2000 Sydney games in the 5000m event and has also won three World Championship gold medals and three European Championship gold medals along with numerous World and Irish records.
Before her fame, she earned an athletic scholarship to Villanova University where she graduated in 1992 with a degree in accounting. She has authored books named Running to Stand Still and Sonia, My Story. Additionally, she became a broadcasting personality on RTE television during the Beijing Olympics in 2008.
She currently resides in Melbourne, Australia with her daughters Ciara and Sophie.
