About Soni Razdan
Soni Razdan is a British-born Indian movie actress born on October 25, 1956 in Birmingham, England. She is best known for her role as Sulochana on the popular Indian television series Buniyaad and has also gained recognition for her work in Bollywood films such as Jaan-E-Mann (2006), Gumrah (1993), Sadak (1991), and Saaransh (1984).
Prior to rising to fame, Razdan appeared in a Hindi stage production of No Exit and in a British staging of The Collector at the start of her acting career. In addition to acting, she directed the 2005 Hindi feature film Nazar.
She was born to an Indian father named N. Razdan and a German mother named Gertrude Hoelzer. She married Indian director, producer, and screenwriter Mahesh Bhatt with whom she shares daughters Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt.
