Sondra Locke was a movie actress, born on May 28, 1944 in Shelbyville, Tennessee. She is best known for her Academy Award-nominated role as Mick Kelly in the 1968 film The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter.
Before pursuing an acting career, Locke attended Middle Tennessee State University for a year before winning a nationwide contest and landing the role of Mick Kelly.
Locke bravely underwent a double mastectomy due to breast cancer in 1990.
Her personal life included a well-known relationship with Clint Eastwood from 1975 to 1989. During this time, they appeared together in several films such as The Gauntlet, Any Which Way You Can, and Sudden Impact.
