Soko, born Stephanie Sokolinski on October 26, 1985 in Bordeaux, France, is a pop singer known for her chart-topping albums I Thought I Was an Alien and My Dreams Dictate My Reality. Her international hit single “I’ll Kill Her” propelled her to fame as both a singer-songwriter and actress.
Before pursuing her career in the arts, Soko left home at 16 to move to Paris for acting classes and briefly resumed regular education before dropping out again. She has also been featured in various French films and TV shows, earning a Cesar Award nomination for Most Promising Actress for her role in A l’origine. Additionally, she provided the voice of Isabella in Spike Jonze’s film Her.
