Sok Pisey is a Cambodian pop singer and social media star who began her professional singing career in 2004. Born on January 1, 1988, in Cambodia, she gained widespread recognition but experienced a setback in 2008 when she was injured in a car crash that resulted in the tragic death of her mother and three other family members. As a result, Sok Pisey took a two-year hiatus from her music career.
Despite this tragedy, Sok Pisey persevered and has since amassed over 1 million followers on her sok_piseysunday Instagram account. In addition to her successful music career, she has also been involved in legal battles regarding unauthorized use of her name.
In an incident from 2010, Sok Pisey filed a complaint with the Phnom Penh Municipal Police after discovering an x-rated video that had used her name without permission. She demanded US$50,000 in compensation from the filmmakers for this infringement of her rights.
