About Sofia Mulanovich
Sofia Mulanovich, born on June 24, 1983, in Punta Hermosa, Peru, is a professional surfer. She made history as the first Peruvian surfer to win an event on the Association of Surfing Professionals World Championship Tour. Mulanovich started surfing at the age of nine and by thirteen had garnered sponsorship from Billabong Peru.
In 2004, she achieved remarkable success by winning three out of six World Championship Tour events and becoming the first South American to clinch a world title in surfing. Her parents immigrated to Peru from Croatia.
