Sofia Escobar, born on November 29th, 1984 in Guimaraes, Portugal, is a renowned Portuguese opera singer and actress recognized for her soprano style of singing. She has graced several West End productions in London and gained widespread acclaim for her portrayal of Christine Daae in Phantom of the Opera.
Before rising to fame, Sofia studied at the Conservatorio de Musica do Porto in Oporto, Portugal and continued her education at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Her professional career commenced as an understudy from 2007 to 2008 at the West End prior to making her debut with The Phantom of the Opera in 2009.
