Sister Deborah, born on August 25, 1984 in Ghana, is a Ghanaian-Romanian singer, model and television host.
She is known for her hit singles “Libilibi,” “Kakalika Love,” “Pure Water” and “Sampanana.” In addition to her music career she has hosted the Late Nite Celebrity Show and Gliterrati. Sister Deborah also has a strong social media presence with over 330,000 followers on her durrrbeee Snapchat account.
Before gaining fame as an entertainer, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Publishing Studies from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. She continued her studies by earning a Masters Degree in Book/Journal Publishing from the University of the Arts London.
In addition to her entertainment work, Sister Deborah has been involved in advocacy efforts for environmental issues and LGBTQ+ rights in Ghana. She has urged the government to ban plastic bag use and collaborated on tracks like Angel Maxine‘s “Kill The Bill” and “Wo Fie.”
Born as Deborah Owusu-Bonsu to an Ashanti father and Romanian mother, Sister Deborah was previously romantically linked with rapper Medikal before their split in 2018.
