Simone de Oliveira is a Portuguese singer and actress, born on February 11, 1938 in Lisbon, Portugal. She is recognized for representing Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1965 and 1969, as well as at the OTI song contest in 1980. Alongside her music career, she has appeared in various Portuguese television shows since 1966.
Simone was born and raised in Lisbon and discovered her passion for singing during high school. Notably, she has survived breast cancer twice. Her mother was of African descent while her father was Belgian. In 1989, Simone married actor and writer Varela Silva until his passing in 1995.
