About Simaria Mendes
Simaria Mendes, born on June 16, 1982 in Brazil, is a popular pop singer and one-half of the Brazilian music duo known as Simone and Simaria. The duo gained national exposure with their hit “When Honey is Good,” which reached number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 Brazil list. Simaria and her sister are also well-known for their DVD titled Bar of Playmates.
Prior to her rise to fame, Simaria began her career as a backup vocalist for singer Frank Aguiar, where she worked for 14 years. In 2016, she and her sister received the Multishow Award for Brazilian Music in the Try It category.
Simaria comes from a musical family and is older than her sister Simone.
