Shirley Douglas, born on April 2, 1934, in Canada, is a Canadian actress known for her roles in film and television. She has appeared in the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation and the film Lolita.
Prior to her acting career, she studied at Central Collegiate Institute in Regina.
Outside of her acting work, Douglas was actively involved with the American Civil Rights Movement and was one of the creators of the fundraising group Friends of the Black Panthers.
She has been married twice and is a mother to three children: Thomas Sicks, actor Kiefer Sutherland, and Rachel Sutherland.
